Let me start off by saying that if you want to skip the lengthy review and you’re on the fence about buying this product - go for it.I work in a warehouse in Southern California. While it doesn’t get terribly cold here, in the winter with no heat you definitely need to bulk up. Early mornings are around high 30’s here and the two north face jackets I was layering weren’t cutting it. I needed something that would not only stand up to the elements but also allow me to freely move. I had initially bought the Carhartt Women's Lined Sandstone Active Jacket WJ130 and the XS was absolutely HUGE on me, it looked like I was wearing my dad’s jacket, being comically wide on the shoulders and way too long (coming down way past the crotch). I understand that workwear brands don’t usualy cater to petite women (I’m 5’ and 110lbs) but it was excessively large and I ended up returning it. That made me hesitant to buy this jacket but I gave it a shot anyway.I’m SO glad I did. The fit for this jacket, while still “a bit large” was actually pretty much what’s to be expected with the workwear brand and all that (sorry that as a petite woman I skipped out on the kitchen and got a manual labor job - insert eye roll here) ((Carhartt please make more clothes that will fit me, Oompa Loompas need to stay warm too)) The first day I wore it it was 38° in the morning and pretty windy. Sitting on a forklift outside with just a long sleeve and light hoodie underneath I was actually fine. This jacket kept me really warm and there’s still room to layer a heavier hoodie or fitted thermo jacket underneath if need be.In terms of fit the jacket comes down to mid hip which works out great if I need to bend over, I’m not worrying about any annoying drafts. The arms are juuuust a bit long but you can cuff the jacket a bit and still have the cuff liners underneath to keep you warm. I was a little worried about the sleeves not being Sherpa lined like the body but it’s not an issue. The hood also fits well, covering enough of your head without looking comical and works well with a beanie underneath. The quality of the product is absolutely amazing. I’m thinking about tossing it in the wash just to soften up the fabric a little bit but other than that it’s great, I’m not worried about the jacket tearing if it gets caught on a metal pole or a wooden pallet. The wine color is also as expected and matches the photos. All in all, if you’re out in the elements and need a jacket that will allow athletic movement AND keep you warm this is the one for you! This jacket is very durable. The first impression is that the fabric is very hard and it is the type of fabric that is hard to penetrate. It is able to withstand a lot of harsh surfaces like fences with metal sticking out, thorns from plants, or on sand paper. This fabric is also very canvasy and doesn't allow for much stretch. It is a very warm coat. The hood and the base is lined with sherpa. The arms are lined in a smooth silky fabric. The zipper is very nice it isn't a cheap zipper it will hold up for a while. There are two inside pockets. One on the left and one on the right, right next to the zipper. The one on the right has a zipper and is a good place to put a small wallet. The one on the left is closed via a small velcro. One of the cons to the pockets are they are not big enough to really fit my Samsung Galaxy s4. I put my phone in the left inside pocket but with a little part of the phone still outside and I am unable to close the velcro to secure it. (it is a pretty big phone after all)There is also a chest pocket on the left side which can fit cards and other small items. The two side pockets in front are without zippers. One con for me or the pockets is that they slant in a way that if you want to just keep your hands in your pockets your arm needs to be at a slightly less comfortable angle. Your arm will need to be slanted up a bit, I would of preferred having pockets with the opening perpendicular to my hand when I reach in. It would just felt more natural. Finally, my biggest con to this jacket. The sleeves are huge! It makes it look like I skipped leg day. I feel like mega man when I wear this. The sleeves are one inch too big and it looks a bit awkward on my small upper frame. The only fraying I have so far on my jacket is the logo stitching. Overall a good jacket if you don't mind the large sleeve size. I am 128lbs, 5'5" and got the XS, hits me right at the hip and the sleeves one inch below my wrist. The warmth was good, but the comfort was lacking. Felt like I was wearing a denim jacket almost. Personally not my favorite.First off - super happy with the shipping speed. I am at my brothers for the weekend and am freezing half to death so I ordered this hoping it would be here before I left. It got here in about 24 hours. This is an awesome jacket! I am always a little worried about ordering things without trying it on. I am a tall gal so I worry a lot about length. I am 5'10", wear a 36 C and a size 5/6. Usually 145-150 lbs. I ordered a small in this jacket (coastline) because I didn't want to swim in it. A saw a lot of reviews stating it fit large - and it does - so I ordered a small so I would have enough room to layer under it. It fits perfect! Room to layer but not huge like my medium carhartt's. I was concerned about torso and sleeve length because some of the pictures I have seen of this jacket looked like the waist was even with the belt line. Standing with arms down it is an inch or two below the belt line in the front, and longer in the back. I have extremely long arms and the sleeves are of adequate length for me too! That was surprising to me, since I usually have to deal with shorter than preferred clothing due to my long limbs. When my arms are up it rides up a little, but not much at all. The quality is wonderful. This is probably the best jacket I have ever had. It is snowing here right now and I was plenty warm outside. I am a perpetually cold person, so this speaks to the quality of the product! I also ordered he matching beanie and it is also very warm.Note: if you're my size, an XS would probably be fine for you if you have less boobs. There is plenty of room on the waist portion, but an XS wouldn't have accommodated my chest. That's the only place the small is even slightly snug.Remember to purchase a size smaller than you are used to in Europe. Good finish and very much liked by my daughterPacco arrivato 24 ore in anticipo. This is a very warm coat. It is a boxy fit that accommodates layers. I have a hoodie and flannel shirt from Carhartt and I took a chance and bought a medium in this jacket also. I can wear my hoodie under the jacket no problem. In athletic brands I wear a large as my shoulders and bust are my largest measurement. My bust measurement is 40 and the coat fits great in the medium. If you are not planning on wearing layers with it consider sizing down.Amazing jacket, carhartt makes the best jear for freezing cold weather. The blue colour is much more beautiful and stone coloured in real life. Short fit with a lot of arm room. Consider a size down, fits a little large. I am 5'2" 115lbs and the extra small leaves generous room for a hoodie to be warn underneath.Bought the XS for my XS GF and it fits a lil big but its okay as she normally wears a light hoodoe and safety vest under it when shes driving or such. She loves it, its her go to jacket and shell even wear it around the house has its material is quiet unlike other coat that have that plastic sound
